About Us

Our story began when Murray and Jocelyn Wilson set up the business in October 1980.

  • 1980: Murray Wilson Signs starts business in Ford Road, Onekawa

  • 1984: Shift to a new workshop in Austin Street, Onekawa.

  • 1985: Employs first apprentice, Hamish McLean

  • 2000: Workshop extension doubles its size

  • 2005: Vann Riley - now a Director, starts as an apprentice

  • 2007: Purchase of new Dunlop Road unit

  • 2015: Vann Riley becomes a 50 per cent owner of Wilsigns Ltd

We’ve won various  New Zealand Sign and Display Awards throughout this time – the most recent being our very own ‘rainbow’ car which has turned heads across the nation.

Over the years, we’ve also trained six apprentices: Hamish McLean, Corey Stephens, Damian Gormly, Rowan Kyle, Vann Riley, and Brier Morgan.

How we can help you

It is critical for a business to have a good image. We can design an image from concept through to signage, printing & advertising and also 'manage' the image on your behalf ensuring consistency.

We are signcraftsmen and pride ourselves on doing top quality work designed to match your requirements.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your requirements on site or alternatively you can call in to our modern workshop and see some of the work we've done.
